ABSTRACT:
Introduction: Diabetes Mellitus (DM) is a global health crisis. Probiotic meals consistently acted as antioxidants by preventing lipid peroxidation and retaining antioxidant enzyme activity, such as Superoxide Dismutase (SOD). To analyse the effect of Probiotic L. fermentum from dadiah sampled as novel antidiabetes through increased antioxidant Mn-SOD expression in DN rat model. Methods: This study is an experimental group designed with a post-test-only control group to analyse the effect of dadiah, LAB, and bacteriocin on alloxan-induced nephropathy diabetic rats. The groups are two control groups and five intervention groups for eight weeks. The production of the antioxidant manganese superoxide dismutase (Mn-SOD) was examined using Immunohistochemistry of kidney tissue and observe the level glucose blood serum. Results: According to the findings of the Kruskal-Wallis analysis, the p-value=0.014 (< 0.050). Thus, based on the results in blood glucose serum level by the Wallis scale test, the p-value=0.002 was obtained. Thus, it may be established that the average blood sugar levels vary significantly between treatments. Conclusion: Probiotics in dadiah has been shown to boost Mn-SOD expression and decrease hyperglycemia in the Nephropathy Diabetes rats model.
