ABSTRACT:
A new series of 2-mercapto pyrimidines (3a-h) were synthesized by the reaction of thiourea with various substituted chalcones (2a-h) and were characterized by IR, 1H-NMR and Mass spectral analysis. The title compounds were tested for In-Vitro antioxidant activity, compounds 3c, 3e have exhibited promising antioxidant activity.
