ABSTRACT:
The concentrations of Ni, Zn, and Cd were examined in forty urine samples. The samples were collected from workers living in Iraq and having different occupations and of different ages. The samples were digested and subsequently assayed via the F-AAS technique. The average concentrations of the Ni, Zn, and Cd were 0.0010 to 0.0543ppm, 0.2923 to 1.1485ppm, and 0.0014 to 0.0487ppm, respectively. The concentrations of Cd and Ni in the urine samples were the lowest. It was found that the concentration of Zn in the urine of people who work in oil refineries was higher than for people working in other vocations. The data were treatment using t-test; F-test and ANOVA test to know the different between the results and the quoted values that published in literature survey.
