ABSTRACT:
Nanotechnology is an ecofriendly technology, help to synthesis nanoparticles which is good and favorable for mankind. Nanoparticle synthesis has generating interest of researchers to investigate mechanism of metal ions uptake and bio-reduction in plants. In this present investigation we report the green synthesis of silver nanoparticles by using leaf extracts of medicinal plant Azima tetracantha. The biosynthesized silver nanoparticles were characterized with the help of UV-Spectrophotometry, SEM, FTIR and HPLC. The enhanced antibacterial activity of silver nanoparticles are active against human pathogenic microorganisms such as Escherichia coli, Seratia sp., Klebsiella sp., Pseudomonas sp., and Staphylococcus sp. based on zone of inhibition. Antioxidant activity of the extracts was analyzed as contents of total phenols, DPPH assay and Hydrogen Peroxide. The leaf extract of Azima tetracantha having great power in cytotoxic activity against human breast adenocarcinoma cell line (MCF7).
