ABSTRACT:
Punica granatum L. (Punicaceae), commonly called pomegranate and belongs to family Lythraceae. The natures power fruit has strong antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antibacterial properties, recent studies have shown some anticancer activities. P. granatum have potential activity against bacterial infections. An agar- well diffusion method was employed for determination of antibacterial activities by using nutrient agar medium (HIMEDIA). The antimicrobial activity of pomegranate was studied along with sugar.
