ABSTRACT:
Image segmentation systems used in medical applications for the segmentation of the infected region from the medical image in which the treatment are to be done. A system for the automatic segmentation of a infected regions based on the features is done by using an algorithm known as Fuzzy C-Means (FCM) algorithm based segmentation technique is discussed in this paper. By using this algorithm a particular region can be segmented by performing the background separation in-order to extract only the infected regions. By calculating the Peak Signal to Noise Ratio (PSNR) values the performance measures of our system can be obtained.
