ABSTRACT:
A Primary Healthcare Center (PHC) is one of the primary health care facilities that are very important in Indonesia for the implementation of NHI. The funding for PHC operations were obtained from the central government, local government, and the capitation funds of NHI. Capitation funds were received by the first-level healthcare facilities from the board and were fully utilized for the payment of health care services and health operating costs. PHC has the spearhead of service and health development in Indonesia, because it is a health facility that is most widely used by the society. The purpose of this study is to determine the management of drugs’ inventory in a PHC in Bandung. The cross sectional study was conducted using observational analysis along with the ABC Critical Index method. The inventory data was obtained from drugs usage and the critical score was obtained from questionnaire distributed to prescribers within the PHC. ABC Critical Index analysis results showed that there were 19 (9.09%) drug items in group A, 148 (70.81%) drugs items in group B, and the remaining 42 (20.10%) drug items in group C. The cost of drug procurement in this PHC district is 133,464 USD with the Acute Respiratory Infection (ARI) as the most common disease.
