ABSTRACT:
Enterococci are normally considered as bacteria with low pathogenicity, which could cause infections in persons with immunodeficiency diseases. Conversely, enterococci have emerged as nosocomial pathogens and cause serious dreadful diseases in individuals with increasing antibiotic resistance. A sum of 20 clinical isolates of Enterococci spp were determined for antibiotic sensitivity pattern and detected for gelatinase and haemolysin production. We have observed multiple antibiotic resistant pattern to most of the drug used in this study and varied pattern of positivity for gelatinase and hemolysin. This indicates that the extracellular enzymes are playing a crucial role in causing infections in human beings.
