ABSTRACT:
Honey has had a great place in traditional medicine. The interest on knowing the different activity of honey for various therapeutic purposes including treatment of infected wounds has led to perform antibacterial activity of honey against P. aeruginosa. In this study we have accessed the antibacterial activity of common honey against clinical isolates of Pseudomonas aeruginosa. A total of 20 different strains of P.aeruginosa were collected and processed for the antibacterial activity of honey against P.aeruginosa by adopting Minimum Inhibitory Concentration (MIC) (Agar dilution method). We have observed that all strains were not been inhibited even at the highest dilution (25%). Honey may have a promising activity against P. aeruginosa.
