ABSTRACT:
Title: Awareness of importance of vitamin D among students in a dental school-a survey. Aim & objective: To create awareness of importance of intake of vitamin D and its deficiency related disorders. Background: Vitamin D is essential for maintaining serum calcium and phosphorus concentrations within the normal range. Deficiency of vitamin D causes inadequate mineralisation leading to rickets & osteomalacia . The vitamin D survey questionnaire is administered to students through survey planet link. Reason: To spread the awareness of importance of intake of vitamin D in diet and to create a vitamin D deficient free generation. Result: To create awareness regarding the awareness of vitamin D a survey was conducted.
