ABSTRACT:
Objective: To evaluate the anti-ifertility potential of stem bark of Ailanthus altissima. Methods: Methanolic extract of stem bark of Ailanthus altissima was evaluated for anti-fertility activity by using anti-implantation and abortifacient methods. female albino Wistar rats were selected for study, selected dose of Ailanthus altissima was 100, 150 and 200 mg/kg/oral. Results: It was obsorved that treatment with methanolic extract of Ailanthus altissima at the dose of 150 and 200 mg/kg was shown significant anti-fertility effect. Conclusion: Ailanthus altissima posses anti-fertility activity by inhibiting implantation and abortificnant action.
