ABSTRACT:
BACKGROUND:
The aim of this study is to observe the variations in the pulpal morphology of the maxillary and mandiblular teeth by transparent tooth model system. In this study, transparent tooth model system would be used to visualise the pulpal morphology and compared with the vertucci classification. Dental pulp is the living connective tissue of the teeth. The pulpal morphology from one segment to another and from the maxillary to the mandibular teeth differ in all aspects. Therefore it is mandatory to understand the pulpal morphology of all the teeth. Transparent tooth model system would help us to understand and know the varied root canal morphology. A better knowledge of the myriad pulpal morphology is needed to be prepared in order to provide an efficient root canal treatment.
MATERIALS AND METHODS: Teeth had been decalcified using 10% Nitric acid solution and dehydrated with 2 propanol . later the teeth had been cleared using methyl salicylate and a dye was injected into it to study the pulpal morphology.
