ABSTRACT:
Novel, simple, sensitive, rapid, accurate and economical spectrophotometric method has been developed for simultaneous estimation of Serratiopeptidase (SER) and Diclofenac potassium (DCL). This method involves solving of simultaneous equations based on measurement of absorbances at two wavelengths 230 nm and 276 nm. Both the drugs obey the Beer’s law in the concentration ranges of 2-40 µg/ml and 1-70 µg/ml for Serratiopeptidase and Diclofenac potassium respectively. The regression coefficient (r2) values were found to be 0.9995 for SER and 0.9999 for DCL. Result of the method was validated statistically and by recovery studies.
