ABSTRACT:
An accurate, simple, reproducible and sensitive method for the determination of paracetamol was developed and validated. Paracetamol was identified using a , Microsorb-MV 100-5 C18 column (250 x 4.6 mm; North America) by binary gradient elution with a flow rate of 0.5 ml/min. The mobile phase composition was methanol: water (30:70) (v/v) and spectrophotometric detection was carried out at 245 nm. The linear range of determination for paracetamol was 0.816-250 µg/ml. The method was shown to be linear, reproducible, specific and sensitive.
