ABSTRACT:
Kukkutandatwak (Shell of hen’s egg) is being used as calcium supplement in Ayurveda (Indian system of medicine). The study revealed that the use of shell of hen’s egg in the form of Kukkutandatwak Bhasm, when it was processed with Aloe Barbadensis Linn was more protective as compared to shell as such in terms of heavy metal contamination.
