ABSTRACT:

Aim and Objective: To analyse the awareness on hepatitis-B vaccination among dental students. Background: Hepatitis-B is an infectious disease caused by the Hepatitis-B Virus(HBV) which affects the liver. In a dental clinic, infections can be transmitted through several ways, including direct or indirect contact with blood, oral fluids, droplet splatter, aerosols, etc. Dental practitioner should receive immunization against hepatitis virus and should use individual protective equipments such as gloves, head caps, masks, etc. Reason: This survey is conducted to create awareness among the dental students about the hepatitis-B vaccination to prevent themselves being affected by hepatitis as they are exposed in dental clinic to various sources.
